Simulation of Method of Installation
Service: Simulation of the Method of Installation in 3D and Virtual Reality
Location: Skopje
Time: May 2020 - September 2020
Project Overview
Objective:
To create a detailed 3D and Virtual Reality simulation of the installation activities required to prepare and build a new manufacturing capacity. The simulation was developed to support detailed planning and help ensure that all activities were performed according to high EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards.
Scope of Work:
1. 3D Simulation:
Developed a comprehensive 3D simulation of the preparation and installation activities required for the new manufacturing capacity.
Included the necessary tools, machinery, and equipment required to perform the planned activities safely and efficiently.
2. Virtual Reality Simulation:
Transferred the 3D simulation into Virtual Reality to provide an immersive and interactive environment for installation planning.
Allowed stakeholders to visualize and review the installation process in a virtual environment before activities were performed on-site.
3. Planning and Logistics:
Planned the space requirements for temporary facilities, including mobile warehouses, offices, toilets, canteens, machinery parking areas, and tool storage.
Defined the step-by-step process from site preparation to installation, taking into consideration the required space, equipment, and logistical requirements.
4. EHS Standards:
Reviewed the simulated activities according to EHS requirements, with a focus on identifying potential risks and improving safety during the planning and installation phases.
Key Outcomes
Improved Planning: Provided a detailed and interactive simulation that supported more accurate planning and coordination of installation activities.
Improved Safety: Supported the evaluation of installation activities according to EHS requirements and helped identify potential risks before on-site execution.
Space Optimization: Planned and allocated the required space for temporary facilities, tools, machinery, and installation activities.
Stakeholder Engagement: Helped stakeholders better understand the planned installation process through immersive Virtual Reality simulations.
Project Efficiency: Supported better coordination of installation activities and helped reduce the risk of potential disruptions and delays.
By incorporating 3D and Virtual Reality simulations into the installation planning process, we provided the project team with a practical environment for reviewing activities, logistics, space requirements, and potential safety risks before on-site execution. This approach supported better coordination, communication, and decision-making throughout the preparation and installation phases.
